Frequently asked questions
Is this really free?
Yes. Every tool here is free, with no sign-up and no watermarks.
Do I need to upload my files?
No. Everything runs in your browser tab — files are processed locally and never sent anywhere.
How is this different from the Office, Image, and Video pages?
Those pages are organized by file type. This page cuts across all of them and shows only the tools that actually convert a file from one format into another — a tool that fits both shows up in both places.
What conversions are supported?
PDF to and from Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; images to and from PDF; and video to GIF or MP3 audio. See each tool's own page for exactly what carries over.
How it works
Choose a tool
Pick from the grid above — organize, convert, or whatever's next as we add more.
Drop your files
They load straight into this tab's memory — no upload happens.
Download the result
Gotool.xyz hands the finished file back to you. That's the whole job.
Your files are never uploaded. Gotool.xyz runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Your files are processed in memory and never touch a server — nothing to breach, nothing to clean up. Close the tab and it's like it never happened. The only thing we count is which tool ran (just the name, e.g. "merge") so we know what people find useful — never your file, its name, its size, or anything in it.
