How it works

- Mark as many areas as you need; adjust the block size to make each one coarser or finer.
- Download the pixelated photo.
Frequently asked questions
Can I undo a mistake?
Click directly on an already-pixelated area to remove it, or use Undo last to remove the most recent one — both work before you download.
Can I mark more than one area?
Yes, mark as many as you need in one pass — a face and a plate in the same photo, for example.
Will changing the block size make a marked area blurrier each time?
No — every area is pixelated fresh from your original photo, not from the already-pixelated result, so adjusting the block size afterward never compounds.
Is the pixelation reversible from the downloaded image?
No — once the detail is averaged away and downloaded, it can't be recovered from that file. That permanence is the point when you're hiding something.
What file do I get back?
A PNG at your original photo's full resolution, with only the marked areas pixelated.
Your files are never uploaded. Gotool.xyz runs entirely as JavaScript in your browser. Your files are processed in memory and never touch a server — nothing to breach, nothing to clean up. Close the tab and it's like it never happened. The only thing we count is which tool ran (just the name, e.g. "merge") so we know what people find useful — never your file, its name, its size, or anything in it.
