- Choose whether the text is raised (emboss) or carved in (engrave), and set how deep.
- Set the tag's width, height, and thickness, then pick a corner style — sharp, rounded, pill, or oval.
- Optionally add a keychain or lanyard hole, with its own diameter and edge margin.

Is my design uploaded anywhere?
No — the 3D model is built and exported entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
What file format does this export?
A standard binary STL file — the format nearly every 3D printer and slicer (Cura, PrusaSlicer, and similar) expects.
What's the difference between raised and engraved text?
Raised (emboss) text sits on top of the plate, like a stamped nameplate. Engraved (intrude) text is carved into the plate instead. Engraved depth automatically caps itself so at least 0.8mm of solid plate is always left underneath the letters — enough to stay printable and keep the letters properly supported, even on a thin plate.
Do I need any 3D design experience?
No — every option is a simple slider, toggle, or text field, with a live 3D preview so you can see exactly what you'll get before downloading.
Do I need a 3D printer to use this?
You'll need access to one (your own, a friend's, a local makerspace, or a print-on-demand service) to actually print the exported STL file — this tool only designs and exports it.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes — the live 3D preview and STL export both work on a phone or tablet's browser, just with a touch-friendly layout.
